Finn Juhl was an influential Danish furniture designer and architect. His designs are characterised by perfectionistic attention to detail, an intuitive sense for materials, and innovative thinking. During the 1950s, Finn Juhl had a significant impact in the USA and commissioned to furnish the UN headquarters in New York.
The exhibition Finn Juhl: The Furniture Designer at Nationalmuseum in Stockholm presented the original interiors of Finn Juhl’s house through pictures in various formats, together with original pieces of furniture and works of art from his home.
The inhouse team at Nationalmuseum based the exhibition design on a consistent square format. We designed the graphics in line with the artisanal theme and created laser-cut letterforms in wood and typeset the biography in a way reminiscent of the happy 1950s.
